VICTOR ENESCU

Victor Enescu, Managing Partner, founded Enescu, Ene & Partners in 2006.
Victor`s cases cover the whole spectrum of criminal law; he specialises in serious and complex crime, including drugs, conspiracies fraud and money laundering.
Particular expertise in money laundering regulation and compliance.
Experience of fraud cases, including breach of financial services regulations and mortgage frauds. Also significant experience of cases involving complex financial crime, money laundering both as a substantive offence and interlocutory proceedings, pensions fraud, high yield investment fraud and VAT fraud.
As a barrister at law, Victor has full rights of audience in all courts.
While he advises on all areas of criminal law, Victor specialises in fraud, business crime, financial compliance issues, money laundering, asset seizure and confiscation. He acts for individual and corporate clients, financial institutions and professional firms in investigations. He has been instructed in many high profile trials as well as a significant number of judicial review and appeal cases. He is “a practitioner with a wealth of experience” who “leaves no stone unturned; his preparation and understanding is impeccable.” He is also complemented for his “excellent client manner… and is not afraid to be forthright in his views’’.
He regularly advises clients (both companies and individuals) involved in investigations and prosecutions relating to tax, VAT and duty fraud, money laundering, false accounting, fraudulent trading and insolvency. At the same time Victor maintains a general criminal defence profile in matters ranging from murder to road traffic.
Mr. Enescu also has expertise in advising professionals, directors and officers who find themselves the subject of regulatory investigation or professional disciplinary action.
He holds a Law degree of University of Bucharest and he was called to the Bar in 1998. He is fluent in English.

MARCELA ENE
Marcela Ene, partener, is the head of our civil litigation departament subsequently worked in the field of general civil litigation for 10 years concentrating on family Law matters, commercial Law, financial Law, employment Law, arbitracion, dispute resolution/mediation and real estate.
Marcela specialises in dispute resolution, finance litigation and national and international arbitration. She has extensive experience of advising and assisting banks and financial institutions in disputes relating to liability arising from financial brokerage, leasing, factoring, loan agreements, bank guarantees, performance bonds, collection of receivables, attachments and enforcement proceedings.
She advises national and international companies on corporate disputes, unfair competition, intellectual property and real estate.
Marcela is a qualified attorney at law, with rights of audience in the Supreme Court. In the Court of Session, she has successfully appeared in a wide range of litigation, including commercial disputes and personal injury claims. She has conducted a number of proofs, debates and appeals. With in-depth knowledge and experience of Employment law, Mrs. Ene has also responsibility for this area of practice. She advises clients on all aspects of Employment Law from recruitment to dismissal.
Marcela also undertakes commercial litigation. As a mediator she is able to focus on the outcome of cases which can involve more issues than simply the payment of money. She has appeared in many tribunals, courts, fatal accident and public enquiries.
She holds a Law degree from Titu Maiorescu University, also attended the postgraduate programme of the University of Bucharest and is a member of the Bucharest Bar since 1998. She is fluent in English.
